Good Morning! It is a another rainy day here. I am looking outside at the two cute doves sitting on my deck. Whenever I see them, I know that God is watching over my family and me. During uncertain times, the Holy Spirit is a permanent sign of peace.
I worry too much, if it is not a big thing, I will fixate on small things. I mull them over and think about them way too much. After I second guess myself, wondering if I did something the wrong, I finally let it go. I say a prayer, God bless this concern and let your will be done. God will give us peace through the Holy Spirit, whatever the outcome.
After Jesus dies on the cross, God raises him from the dead. Mary Magdalene was the first person to see him. Isn’t it interesting that he appears to a woman first? I think it is a sign that all are welcome and will be received in heaven, if you believe in Jesus. Jesus tells her to let the disciples know that he has risen. Later, Jesus appeared to the disciples too. Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit on the disciples. I guess this is the breath of God. Jesus tells them to forgive the sins of others, and they will be forgiven.
So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
–John 20:21-23 (NKJV)
It is comforting to know that the gift of the Holy Spirit is only a breath away. We can say a prayer and feel the peace wash over you, making your worries fade away. Peace is a breath away.
