It Is Time To Try God’s Way

As I get older I realize, wow I have so much to learn!

Some things in life stay constant, but our reaction or how we deal with them can change. Sometimes, we will slip back into the way that we have always done things. We may need to shake things up a bit and realize that the way we have always done things just isn’t working anymore.

When things aren’t working. It is time to re-evaluate. Am I living for myself? Or, am I living for God?

When I realized that I needed God to fill up the emptiness within me, my whole life changed. I want to keep growing closer to God. I want to live for God.

I want to learn more. I want to be open to doing things in a new way. I want to open my heart to God’s way. I want to leave my old ways behind and embrace God’s way.

God has so much for us to learn. There are so many ways to study the bible in depth. You know what is most important? Praying and opening up your bible and getting started.

God is so kind to us, because he loves us more than we can imagine.

God takes you right where we are and starts a new work in you, if you are willing to trust in him.

“he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
—Philippians 1:6 NIV

When we pray, God gives us insight and knowledge. I can read the same bible verse and get a different meaning every time. The bible is God’s living word.

The bible has so much depth. I always pray to understand what I am reading. I want to do God’s will, even though I continually fall short.

God loves us. God measures our hearts. God cares about our intentions.

Sometimes in this life, I feel so unseen. I try really hard everyday to be a good friend, wife, mom, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law. Sometimes I feel like my best is never enough. I give all that I have, until I feel weary. It is rarely recognized or acknowledged.

You know what? God sees me. God sees my heart. God sees me trying. I want to please God, and nothing else really matters. God will take care of the rest.

I want God to teach me his ways and give me insight and understanding to follow his laws wholeheartedly. I want to live my life according to God’s will. God has unconditional love for me and you. I want God to help me live according to his laws, and I am happy doing it. I want to learn from God’s testimonies. I don’t want to spend time trying to fit into a world that doesn’t really care about me. I want to live for God, the one who created me and loves me.

Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes,

And I shall keep it to the end.

Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law;

Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

Make me walk in the path of Your commandments,

For I delight in it.

Incline my heart to Your testimonies,

And not to covetousness.

Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things,

And revive me in Your way.

—Psalm 119:33-37 NKJV

When your way isn’t working, it is time to try God’s way!
