Balancing Act

Life can be a balance. I want to be confident, but not arrogant. I want to admit what I do not know, so that I can continue to learn and grow. I want to recognize that God made me, so I am important and special. It is bad to think too much of myself and bad to think that I am worthless. I want to give God the glory for each success and blessing, because everything comes from the Lord.

“For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
–Matthew 23:12 (NIV)

If you exalt or elevate your status, you will be brought back down and put into your place. If you are unpretentious and humble, you will be exalted, elevated and glorified. It is a balancing act, and we have to be ready to check ourselves everyday. If you spend time each day reading the bible and praying, you can ask God to be honest with you and admit what you need to work on.
