Good afternoon! This morning I read today’s devotional from Jesus Calling with my kids. It said to be thankful for all the blessings through the day. If you start you day with the mind set of being thankful, your day goes in a new direction. I am thankful for a house. I am thankful for my husband and kids. I am thankful that I am a stay-at-home mom. I am thankful for my friends. I prayed for each of things, and God answered my prayers.
There is so much to be thankful for in my life. It is easy to focus on what we don’t have. Wow, we have so much. Every good thing is a gift from above. God is so good, there are no shadows on his perfect goodness. God’s goodness is pure and beautiful.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
–James 1:17 (NKJV)
This morning two doves were perched on my deck. I love doves. It is a reminder of the Holy Spirit, and when I see the doves, I feel happy. I thank God for watching over me and my family, as we go about our day.
Even though my day started well, I let the enemy sneak into my thoughts, making me doubt myself and reminding me of all the mistakes that I have made. Then, I read the bible and remembered the doves that I saw this morning. God is always there waiting to turn a bad day into a good one. Sometimes, we just have to refocus our sights on God.
Each of us was bought at a price. We are beautiful and valuable to God. We are made in God’s image. Some days I have to turn my thought process around and start focusing on my blessings and answered prayers. When I do, I feel at peace, and I can do what I was called to do. Change your mind and be open to really see all the blessings around you.
You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men. Brethren, let each one remain with God in that state in which he was called.
–1 Corinthians 7:23-24 (NKJV)
Thank you for reading my blog. I hope you have wonderful day full of small and big blessings!
The enemy steals our joy and peace when we surrender our thoughts to him, but you are so right, when we spend time in the Word of God and remember His blessings, we can be victorious

Yes! It does not take much to get off track, and it only takes some time in God’s word to get back on track. Love your blog, Brenda:)
