Choosing Faith Each Day

Do Not Fear, God Is In Charge

Good Evening. Our church service was canceled today, however we were blessed with an opportunity to watch online services. The Coronavirus has caused major changes to our everyday lives.

This morning our pastor said that the last time something like this happened was the Bubonic Plague or “Black Death”. At that time, there were so many deaths that people looked in the bible for guidance. They found the best way to stop an outbreak was to quarantine sick people.

Leviticus13-46

As long as they have the disease they remain unclean. They must live alone; they must live outside the camp.
–Leviticus 13:46 (NIV)

God has given us the bible for guidance on how to live our lives. We just need to open it and read it.

Our pastor gave us verses to help us through this time of uncertainty. We need to remember that God is in charge. We can use this time for God’s good works. God can turn anything around for his good.

Psalm121-1-2

God the Help of Those Who Seek Him
A Song of Ascents.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
–Psalm 121:1-2 (NKJV)

Psalm56-3-4

Whenever I am afraid,

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A Song for Alamoth.

God is our refuge and strength,

And though the mountains be carried into the [b]midst of the sea;

Psalm91-9-11

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,

To keep you in all your ways.
–Psalm 91:9-11 (NKJV)
