The Blind Leading The Blind

I have heard the expression “It’s like the blind leading the blind” many times. Usually, it is used to express that a hot mess is brewing, waiting to explode, and I do not want anything to do with it.

I have read this passage before, but it really stood out this morning. If the blind leads the blind, they will both fall into a ditch.

I feel like there is a great need for truth right now. The media has fake news, or no news at all, showing quarantine videos and cute animals. They are fun to watch, but what is really going on in the world?

I felt reassured to read this passage. Every plant that my father has not planted will be uprooted. Every plan, plot or scheme will be exposed by the Lord in his timing. God sees the truth. God knows the truth. Nobody can hide form the Lord. God directs the world.

Matthew15-13

But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
–Matthew 15:13-14 (NKJV)

God knows deep and hidden things. God will reveal the truth according to his perfect timing. Trust in the Lord.

Luke8-17

For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.
–Luke 8:17 (NKJV)

Wait on the Lord. Don’t follow the world. Seek God. Put your hope in the Lord and quietly and patiently wait for him.

Lamentations3-25-26

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.
It is good that one should hope and wait quietly
For the salvation of the Lord.
–Lamentations 3:25-26 (NKJV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. God will direct our path and show us where to go.

Proverbs3-5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
–Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

This morning, Satan was reminding me of all my mistakes. I was starting to feel discouraged and worthless. Then, I remembered who made me. God doesn’t make mistakes. I had to pray “The Lord rebuke you, Satan!” to stop the thoughts from flooding my mind.

And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan!”
–Zechariah 3:2 (NKJV)

Satan does not care about the things of God. Satan cares about the things of this world. Satan doesn’t want anything good for us.

But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
Matthew 16:23 (NKJV)

Trust in God. Wait on God’s timing. Don’t listen to Satan. Don’t follow the blind.
