Sometimes Satan reminds us of our past. This morning I was thinking about people that used in be in my life. With memories, I remember how people made me feel, especially when people made me feel less than what God intended for me.
God removes people from our lives for a reason. God can see things we cannot.

God made me for a purpose. God has a purpose for my life. God has a purpose for your life. You were not an accident. God made us for a reason. God has a plan for us. Anything that God plans, is pure and good.
In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will
—Ephesians 1:11 NKJV
As I thought of the person from my past, I remembered how I was lied to, used, cheated, belittled, and then this person twisted the truth to make me look bad and her look good. I was thinking how I could not win. No matter what I did, people sided with her and hated me, because of the lies that she spun. Remembering this person, I felt hopeless, alone and defeated. Then I heard these words being sung in church this morning…
And if You are for me, who can be against me? Yeah
For Jesus, there’s nothing impossible for You
When all I see are the ashes, You see the beauty
Thank You God
When all I see is a cross, God, You see the empty tomb
—“Battle Belongs” by Phil Wickham
When God is for us, truly who can be against us? People can do their worst to destroy you, but God can change outcomes. Nothing is impossible for Jesus.
When Satan tries to tear you down and steal your joy, and he will, find peace knowing that Jesus Christ is way bigger than Satan. Christ can fill our hearts with peace, even through the most difficult times. Even when people around you are trying to destroy you, God has the power to determine the outcome.
Christ Our Peace
For He Himself is our peace
—Ephesians 2:14 NKJV
Let God fight your battles for you. God will give you the strength to stand tall against any obstacle. When life is difficult, put on the armor of God: truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, sword of the Spirit, word of God, and praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.
The Whole Armor of God
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
—Ephesians 6:10-20 NKJV
Don’t listen to Satan. God made you for a purpose. Find your inner peace by believing in Jesus. Let God deal with those who try to hurt you, and let God fight your battles for you. If God Is For Me, Who Can Be Against Me?
