We have the opportunity to be thankful each day. We can be thankful for another day and more time to spend with family. We can be thankful for the good things that happen to us and the people that make time to see us.
Don’t worry about what others say or think about you. Be true to yourself. Look to God as your judge. God will take care of you.
God will bind up the brokenhearted. God will take your broken heart an stitch it back up together again. God will free the captives. God will take prisoners and release them form the darkness. God will comfort all those who mourn. God will provide for those who grieve. God will take your grief, sadness and place a crown of beauty on your heart. God will bestow a crown of beauty for ashes. God will change the hearts of sinners. God will give oil of joy to those who mourn. God will cover you in praise, instead of despair. God will pick us up and plant us where we will grow.
The Year of the Lord’s Favor
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
–Isaiah 61:1-3 (NIV)
Whatever you are going through right now, God will provide for you. Whatever you need, God will give it to you. You may not even know that you need it. God does. Keep your faith and trust in God.
