Hebrews, Love and Praise

Exchange Weariness For Joy

Good morning! Yesterday was a gloomy morning, and my mood matched it. I was reading through Hebrews today, and this scripture verse resonated to my heart. When we feel weary and discouraged, think about Jesus. He came as a light to this world, to forgive our sins. Jesus endured hostility from the sinners, he was trying to save. Jesus endured it all with love.

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.
–Hebrews 12:3 (NKJV)

God loves us all. Jesus endured so much, because he loves us. We need to pursue peace with all people. I read this, and I think, really? I have to pursue peace with those who gossip about me, twist around my words and tell lies about me? God answers, yes! We do not know which one will see the Lord. If we go around being peaceful and loving, especially to those who are mean to us, one may have a change of heart.

Hebrews12-14.jpg

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord
–Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV)

God will help us be kind and loving to everyone. We just have to let go of ourselves. It is not about us. Life is about doing God’s good will.

Yesterday, I was feeling gloomy, and I read a post from Proverbs 31 ministries. Wow, it was amazing. I could not wait to share it. It is No Longer Unloved. Wherever we are at right now, we can praise God for what we do have. I can focus on my worries or what I lack, or I can praise God for all that I have. When we praise God, we instantly exchange our weariness for joy.

Prayer

Dear God,

Thank you for all the blessings in my life. God, you are so good to me. You give me what I need each day. With you, God, I never lack for anything. You always take care of everything. Thank you, God, for always being with me. You carry me through difficulties and bless me with joys. Every good thing in my life is from you, and I am so thankful to you, Lord.

Amen
