Blessed Is She Who Believes

Happy Saturday! I hope that you have an amazing weekend. I don’t have too many plans. This morning, I saw two doves outside on the deck. I love seeing doves, it is a visual reminder that God is watching over me.

Having faith in what you cannot see can be challenging, when you, well, cannot see it. You look around, and just see, what your eyes see. God has a whole kingdom that we cannot see. There is an entire spiritual realm out there, where God is fighting for us. Our eyes cannot it, but we can feel it. We feel peace, happiness and love. We feel sadness, worry and anger.

It is hard to go into a situation and make decisions based on faith. When I first started living by faith, I had doubts. I questioned myself. What did I just do? Am I crazy? God can make unimaginable things a reality. Life can change in an instant. We can be running through life, as we always do, and then come to a sudden stop and wonder what just happened. The sudden stop can be amazing or devastating.

When my husband lost his job 6 years ago, I felt like my world was falling apart. When, you don’t have faith, you cannot believe in the possibilities. Then, I had surgery and my father died. It was like my world shattered into pieces. We went to church, but it was not enough. In hindsight, I was missing reading the bible and praying. I saw my situation as it was. I didn’t see all that God had planned for me. I didn’t have faith.

A sudden change can also be amazing. I remember when I had 3 miscarriages. I asked my church to pray for me, and I got pregnant. I was so happy. I prayed for my baby, and I just knew that I would have a baby. And, I did. He is turning 10 in March. I had faith in what I could not see.

Luke1-45

“Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”
–Luke 1:45 (NKJV)

God blesses those who believe. Your situation may be great or seem horrible. Whatever you are going through, it is an opportunity for God to do his good work in your life. You just have to believe and have faith in God’s plan for your life. Blessed is she who believes.
