God Wants Us To Prosper and Bloom

Good Morning! I just returned from an annual doctor’s physical check-up. I know it is something that has to be done. It is a baseline for my health. Why do I always want to cancel it?

To be healthy, I have to exercise and eat healthy foods. Sometimes, I am really good and other times not so much.

I can say that my faith is strong, but my practice, well…sometimes, I am really good and other times not so much.

Exercise and eating healthy is an investment in my health, well being and life span. I  want to be around for my kids and husband.

Reading the bible, praying, going to church and volunteering by serving others are great ways to practice faith. I am not supposed to just be angelic on Sundays. I am supposed to live my life according to God’s will everyday.

I know that I am not perfect. I am not making excuses for my faults. I can say, this is too much pressure, I will never be perfect. Or, I can keep trying each day and let God refine my imperfections from the inside out. When I look back 3 years ago, I am amazed at how much I have changed. God has strengthened me, and given me hope and peace. God doesn’t expect perfection. No matter how hard we try, we will never attain perfection, that belongs to God.

God wants us to turn away from the world and look up and trust in him. I can try and follow the world. What happens if I gain the whole world and lose my soul? What profit or gain is worth losing my soul? Is anything worth exchanging for my soul? No.

Matthew16-26

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
–Matthew 16:26 (NKJV)

God knows us, imperfections and all. God loves our imperfect selves. God wants us as his children. God has a plan for each of us. God knows the we will make mistakes. God wants us to come back to him and seek forgiveness.

Jeremiah29-11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
–Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

God wants to lead us down a path where we prosper and bloom. Have a wonderful day full of possibilities, hope and peace for the future!
