God Will Carry Us Through This Time

Today is Easter Monday. It is a great time to reflect on God’s promises fulfilled through Jesus Christ.

God has carried our grief and sorrows. Jesus was bruised for our offenses. He was punished so we could have peace. We are healed because of the pain endured by Jesus. Our iniquities were given to Jesus, who paid for our sins with his life.

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
–Isaiah 53:4-6 (NKJV)

We are all unworthy of this great gift. God gave it to us anyway. We make mistakes. We go off track. Through it all, God still loves us. God’s love never fails. God’s love is eternal. Even death could not stop God’s plan. God is the creator of heaven and earth. Nothing is too hard for God.

With all the changes lately due to the Coronavirus, life is uncertain. Even if we can go back to our everyday lives, our lives will not be the same again. The only thing that is certain is God. We can trust in God. We can rely on the Almighty One that will carry us through this time of uncertainty.
