Right now, some states are asking people to tell on their neighbors, if they gather in large groups. I am not sure how I feel about this level of scrutiny.
We will all have to report to God one day. I know that I have more than enough to work on in myself. Why would I spend time judging others?
For it is written:
“As I live, says the Lord,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to God.”
So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.
–Romans 14:11-13 (NKJV)
God wants us to work on ourselves first. We should not judge others or put a stumbling block in their way. We should never try and make our brothers, sisters or neighbors fall.
Right now, we have time to evaluate how we are doing on our walk with God. I know that I have to make improvements.
Praying that my life will be lived worthy of the Lord.
Prayer
Dear God,
Praying to change and become more like you, God. Praying to focus on turning fully towards you and away from sin. Praying to drop bad habits and adopt new, healthy habits during this quarantine. Praying to know God’s divine purpose for my life, and that I will walk in it.
Amen
