Life changes everyday. I realized that I am strong in faith in some areas, and I need some work in other areas. Sometimes, I can be patient. Other times, I am not patient at all. I just want to throw my hands up and give up. Feeling this way today, I opened up the bible to the book of Jeremiah.
They said it was hopeless, so instead of trusting God, they would walk according to their own plans and listen to their own evil hearts.
God’s Warning Rejected
And they said, “That is hopeless! So we will walk according to our own plans, and we will every one obey the dictates of his evil heart.”
–Jeremiah 18:12 (NKJV)
Yikes! Is this me? Well, it is certainly the way I am thinking by being impatient. Instead of trusting God’s timing, I am feeling impatient. I am feeling hopeless. Do I think I can fix this without God? Well, when I say it like that, no.
Jesus is the great I AM. Jesus is the name above all names. God is greater than anything here on earth. If things are not going my way, do I really think I can charge in and fix it?No.
God can fix it for me.
Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,”
–John 18:8 (NKJV)
God’s plans are better than anything that I can imagine. If I believe in God, I should let go of control and truly trust in God, and be patient while I wait.
Thank you for reading my blog today. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
