Some days, I feel disappointed. Do you ever feel that way?
God has a purpose for each of us. Things may not always go the way we had hoped. God’s plan is greater than our own plans.
Jesus came down from heaven to do God’s will, not his own. God had a purpose for Jesus. God sent Jesus to earth for a reason.
For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
—John 6:38 (NKJV)
Sometimes, we want to do something so badly, but it just doesn’t work out. God may be protecting us. God may have something better in mind. God may be preparing us.
When we listen to God, we will be safe. When we do God’s will, we will be secure and do not have to fear evil.
“But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,
And will be secure, without fear of evil.”
—Proverbs 1:33 (NKJV)
It is fine to feel disappointed for a short time. We need to let it go, and not hang onto that feeling of disappointment. We have remind ourselves, that God’s plan is the best one. God will keep us safe and protected. When he says no, we should thank God for protecting us.
God’s wisdom founded the earth. God’s understanding established the heavens. When we follow God’s plan, we will walk safely and not stumble. Our hope and confidence are in the Lord.
The Lord by wisdom founded the earth;
By understanding He established the heavens;
By His knowledge the depths were broken up,
And clouds drop down the dew.
My son, let them not depart from your eyes—
Keep sound wisdom and discretion;
So they will be life to your soul
And grace to your neck.
Then you will walk safely in your way,

Nicely said. I often also feel disappointed in my own ability to walk the walk. This process of transformation is neverending lol. 🙂
