Turn Away From Fear

God has done so many wonderful things in my life. I see prayer after prayer being answered. I am thankful that God sought me and brought me back to him. There was a time when I struggled and worry took over my life. I didn’t know God or trust in him. I had so much anxiety. I worried about everything. It was a miserable way to live. Then, God started drawing me closer. It took me a long time to let go and trust in the Lord. Challenging times made me more faithful.

Even now, some days I start worrying and become afraid. Lately with the election and the pandemic, I have been scared of what will happen in this world. I have started to go down the path of worry and fear. Then, I remember who is in charge. God is in charge.

God has done so many great things in the world and in my life. The creator of the universe thinks my prayers are worth answering. The maker of heaven and earth thinks I am valuable. 

I don’t know God’s plan. I don’t understand it. I do know that God is great. God loves all of us. God wants all of us to turn to him. God has a plan for his world. Our God does wondrous works. Whatever God is doing right now, it will be good. 

I will also meditate on all Your work,
And talk of Your deeds.
Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary;
Who is so great a God as our God?
You are the God who does wonders;
You have declared Your strength among the peoples.
—Psalm 77:12-14 NKJV

Satan is working hard to turn us all away from God. Satan encourages strife, unrest and worry. Satan loves that our nation is divided. God despises all things evil. We already know who wins. God always wins. God can raise his great hand and Satan will be stopped. God can also turn the worst event into a blessing. 

Pride is a tricky thing. The wicked persecute the poor, because of pride. God sees the wicked and can reveal their plots. When people are doing evil, they think that nobody knows about their evil and lies. Wicked people boast of their cleverness and how nobody knows their plots. Everybody knows what they are doing. Some people choose to let God deal with them. Some people are praying that they will change and do the right thing and seek the Lord.

The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor;
Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.
For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire;
He blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord.
The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God
—Psalm 10:2-4 NKJV

God knows all and sees all. You cannot hide from God. God rewards every good deed. God sees everything that we think, say and do. God gives us chances to change and do the right thing. We must decide if we will turn to God or do Satan’s work. Turn away from fear. Trust in God, the maker of heaven and earth.
