Choosing Faith Each Day, Ecclesiastes, Proverbs, Trusting in God

Every Decision is From the Lord

Happy November! We have made it this far through 2020. We made it through a pandemic, working from home, online learning and homeschooling and almost through an election. It has been quite a year so far.

I hope that God has blessed you and your family during this time. When this pandemic started, I was just picking myself up from the loss of my mom last year on Christmas day. Then, boom, Covid-19 happened. I have to be honest, online learning did not go well in our house. There were zombie eyes and frustration for all involved. Through it all, God gave us so many unexpected blessings. We grew closer as a family, and we grew closer to God. The biggest lesson that we learned is that God is sovereign.

God is in charge. God fights our battles for us. When the world seems to be going crazy, God is still there. God’s timing is perfect. God’s plan is better than anything that we can imagine.

When people do something that you know is blatantly wrong, what should you do? I can say for certain that God always provides for us. We have had comfortable times and times that we could not pay the bills. God carried us through it all. I will never regret the hard times, because we let go of ourselves and gave control to God. Know what? God came through every single time. When you trust in God, God comes through for you, and as a bonus he sprinkles all these extra blessings on your life.

I have seen a grievous evil under the sun:
wealth hoarded to the harm of its owners,
or wealth lost through some misfortune,
so that when they have children
there is nothing left for them to inherit.

—Ecclesiastes 5:13-14 NIV

God sees all and knows each of his children. I choose to let God fight my battles for me. God will fight for us in the heavenly realms. God will decide the outcome. Every decision comes from the Lord.

The lot is cast into the lap,
But its every decision is from the Lord.

—Proverbs 16:33 NKJV

  1. Hallelujah 🙌🏿. God is Faithful. Indeed, 2020 has been an interesting year but through it all, God has shown His goodness towards us. I can only imagine homeschooling. So many students have found it difficult and are just ready to go back to school. So sorry for the loss of your mother. May the Lord continue to comfort and strengthen your family. Thank you for sharing Karen ❤️
