You Are a Child of God

I don’t know about you, but most days I just don’t feel like a treasured jewel. This morning was one of those days. I have so much to praise God for and reasons to be thankful, yet I still felt down.

This morning, I spent time praying and reading the bible. I read the first page of Jeremiah. God created each of us, exactly as we are. God knows us inside and out. God created us and has a plan for us. The creator of the universe thought the world needed me and you.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you”
—Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV

God loves us, imperfections and all. We all struggle with insecurities. Most cannot be seen. Some people may never know your insecurities. I am thankful that I have a husband and kids that love me, as I am, even with glaring flaws. Whatever you are insecure about, know that God sees you and loves you. When people laugh at you, hold your head high and know whose you are. You are a child of God. You have God on your side. God will deliver you.

“Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord.
—Jeremiah 1:8 NKJV
