Amazed At Your Goodness

Today is a great day to praise God.  I have made countless mistakes in my life, yet God turned away his anger and welcomed me back with open arms.

If I had not made the mistakes, I would not appreciate how glorious and magnificent God is to me. Being away from God is a sad and lonely place. People can have everything, money, power, a seemingly perfect life, but without God, it will never be enough. They will always be missing something, that only God can fulfill. They will have a God sized hole in their hearts.

Thank you God 
for being a light in the dark,
carrying me through hard times, 
comforting my heart through loss,
giving my heart peace during chaos,
loving me when I was unloveable,
turning my sorrow into joy,
chasing my fears away by trusting you,
leading me when I was lost,
protecting me from dangers,
guiding me back from wrong turns,
gently nudging me along,
giving me the faith to trust in you,
freeing me from stress and worry,
knowing that you will lead me,
fulfilling your promises and giving me extra blessings,
rewarding me for trusting in you,
making me calm during turmoil,
opening up doors that I couldn’t see,
and helping me get closer to the plans you have for me.

Thank you God for the plans that you have for me. I know they are good. You lead me along, and I put my trust in you. As you I see pieces of your plan unfold, I marvel in amazement at your goodness. 

A Hymn of Praise

And in that day you will say:
“O Lord, I will praise You;
Though You were angry with me,
Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.
Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.’ ”
Therefore with joy you will draw water
From the wells of salvation.
And in that day you will say:
“Praise the Lord, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted.
Sing to the Lord,
For He has done excellent things;
This is known in all the earth.
Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion,
For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!”
