There is Nothing New Under the Sun: God Is Always The Answer

Am I the only one that gets caught up in the busyness and stress of life? Some days, I am tired. Worries start creeping in first with random thoughts, and then the worries start getting bigger and taking over my mind, stealing my peace. I can’t figure out how to overcome my worries. So, I go to the One who knows.

I opened my bible yesterday to Jeremiah and read this verse:
“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”
—Jeremiah 32:27 NKJV

Nothing is too hard for the Lord. I can get wrapped up and consumed by worldly troubles, doubts and fears. I am not in charge of the outcome. God is. So, why not put my trust in God?

Prayer changes outcomes. I have so many testimonies about how God changed my life and my family’s lives. God has brought us through three miscarriages to two teenage kids, unemployment to employment, working to staying at home with my kids, negative school experiences to homeschooling to a great Christian school, severe allergies to healing, loss of loved ones to peace.

God can fill your heart with joy and peace. God can take away your worries and fear. God will make your life complete. Stop searching for happiness. God is waiting for you. God is the answer.

Nothing is hard for the Lord Our God.

I opened up the bible to a new passage in Ecclesiastes today. This verse stood out for me, One generation passes away, and another generation comes; But the earth abides forever.” (Ecclesiastes 1:4 NKJV)

The Vanity of Life
The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.

“Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher;
“Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.”

What profit has a man from all his labor
In which he toils under the sun?

One generation passes away, and another generation comes;
But the earth abides forever.

The sun also rises, and the sun goes down,
And hastens to the place where it arose.

The wind goes toward the south,
And turns around to the north;
The wind whirls about continually,
And comes again on its circuit.

All the rivers run into the sea,
Yet the sea is not full;
To the place from which the rivers come,
There they return again.

All things are full of labor;
Man cannot express it.
The eye is not satisfied with seeing,
Nor the ear filled with hearing.

That which has been is what will be,

That which is done is what will be done,

And there is nothing new under the sun.
—Ecclesiastes 1:1-9 NKJV

We get so caught up in daily lives, when “there is nothing new under the sun”
–Ecclesiastes 1:9 NKJV

Generations pass, but the earth is always here. God is always here. Our lives can be lived for the Lord or to serve ourselves. God can use us for His good purpose. Living our lives for God makes us feel complete.

The Merriam-Webster definition of Vanity:

  • inflated pride in oneself or one’s appearance: CONCEIT
  • something that is vain, empty, or valueless

The Lord made us. Sometimes we don’t value ourselves enough. Sometimes we put way too much value on our schedules and vanity creeps in. We think our time is more valuable than others. We drive fast and rush around in a hurry, feeling stressed and exhausted.

Today is the day to step back. Take a deep breath and thank God for another day. Each day is a gift, never guaranteed. Ask God how you can live your life for Him. The Lord is everything.

God is in charge today, just as He was yesterday and will be again tomorrow!
