Wouldn’t it be nice if there was peace on earth? One day there will be. The plan is all in the bible, from the prophecies in the Old Testament, the fulfillment of the scriptures with Jesus and the future in Revelation.
God wants every person on earth to know Him. Satan wants to turn people away from God, led them astray, distract and confuse them, so they are too busy to connect with God. Satan knows the Bible too, and he knows God wins.
Our time on earth is a season, heaven is eternal. While you are on earth, ask Jesus to come into your life. There is no greater peace than having a heart filled with the Holy Spirit. Pray and read the bible to get closer to God.
Don’t let yourself be too busy to talk to God today. God is waiting for you.
The Lord’s Future Reign
This is a vision that Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house
will be the highest of all—
the most important place on earth.
It will be raised above the other hills,
and people from all over the world will stream there to worship.People from many nations will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of Jacob’s God.
There he will teach us his ways,
and we will walk in his paths.”
For the Lord’s teaching will go out from Zion;
his word will go out from Jerusalem. The Lord will mediate between nations
and will settle international disputes.
They will hammer their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will no longer fight against nation,
nor train for war anymore.—Isaiah 2:1-4 (NLT)
Amen, Karen. What a wonderful reminder in a world that can so often feel busy, noisy and distracted. How easily we can fill our days with so many things and forget to simply stop and spend time with the One who loves us most.
I love the reminder that our time here is only a season, while eternity is forever. The promise in Isaiah of a day when there will be no more war and people will truly walk in God’s ways gives such hope.
God is indeed waiting for us. We do not have to make an appointment or jump through hoops, we simply need to come to Him. Thank you for this timely encouragement, Karen.
Blessings,
Steve 🙏
