Lets face it, we all mistakes. Nobody is perfect. Its what you do with your mistake that matters. Do you push the blame on others? Do you deny that you made a mistake? Do you ignore your mistake? Or, do you own up to your mistakes. Do you ask God for forgiveness and try not to do it again? God wants us to repent for our sins. If we repent and ask God for forgiveness, God will restore us. When we seek forgiveness, God will mend us back together and make us right again. God wants us to speak worthy words, words with value, not worthless useless words. God doesn’t want us to talk for the sake of talking, but to speak meaningful words about God and God’s plan for us. God wants people to turn to us. He wants people to listen to our words of value and want hear more. We must not turn to them. We need to hold our faith in God closely to our hearts. If we turn to the world, and try to be like the world, we will lose sight of God’s plan for us. Its not always easy, we may be isolated from people, but God will always be with us.
Therefore this is what the Lord says:
“If you repent, I will restore you
that you may serve me;
if you utter worthy, not worthless, words,
you will be my spokesman.
Let this people turn to you,
but you must not turn to them.
–Jeremiah 15:19 (NIV)
I am one of those people that do not like conflict. Sometimes, conflict is unavoidable. People will try and fight with you, so you have to deal with it. God promises to make Jeremiah a wall to the people. God is not only making him a wall, he is making him a fortified wall of bronze. Jeremiah will be secured and protected against attacks. The people will fight him, but they will never overcome him. God vows to be with Jeremiah and rescue and save him. God promises to save him from the hands of the wicked and deliver him from cruel people.
I will make you a wall to this people,
a fortified wall of bronze;
they will fight against you
but will not overcome you,
for I am with you
to rescue and save you,”
declares the Lord.
“I will save you from the hands of the wicked
and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel.”
–Jeremiah 15:20-21 (NIV)
God will watch over all of us and protect us, if we serve God. When we make mistakes, we need to seek forgiveness from God. When God is on our side, we will not fall. Nobody will hurt us or harm us. God will protect us. When we speak faithful, worthy words for God, he will be a shield for us.
