Choosing Faith Each Day

The Holy Spirit Gives Us the Right Words

God wants everyone on earth to hear the gospel and make a choice to believe or not to believe. As Christians, it is our job to share the gospel. Some Christians lead such good lives, they set an example of the gospel by the way that they live. People should understand the reason behind their good lives, Jesus. The model Christians that lead good lives should share that they are Christians.

God wants the gospel preached to all the nations. If you are arrested for showing God’s word, God does not want you to worry or plan what you will say. When the time comes to speak, God will send the Holy Spirit to fill you with the right words to say.

And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
–Mark 13:10-11 (NKJV)

I am not a model Christian. I make a ton of mistakes. I am flawed. God uses people like me too. God selects his vessels, so God’s good work can shine through me. Through you. God took Saul, uttering muderous threats about the apostles, brought him to his knees and changed him forever. Then God used Saul, to spread the gospel. God loves every person on earth and wants each person to find him. God uses the broken, the tired, the weak. God can take the worst among us and turn their lives around, as a testimony to God’s almighty power and greatness. It makes our lives better, and we can do Gods’ work. God can take us and use us for his glory, if we let him.

Prayer

Dear God,

I pray that I do your will. I pray that I never deny you and your goodness. I pray that I confess my sins and ask for forgiveness. I pray that you fill me with the Holy Spirit and give me the right words to say at the right time. I pray that I do your will, and you show me how to serve you today.

Amen
