Daniel, Trusting in God

Trusting God With the Outcome

This morning at church, the message was to trust God with the outcome. I really needed to hear this today.

Two months ago, I found out that my mom has a brain tumor. She has stage 4 cancer. Her condition is declining.

I have been so worried about my mom’s upcoming radiation and chemo treatment, because she is weak. I have really been stressed out about the transportation and worrying if its safe.

This morning, Pastor Gary talked about Daniel, who was thrown in the lion’s den, and he was not harmed.

“My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”
–Daniel 6:22 (NKJV)

Our Pastor said that God can rescue us from the lion’s den. God can pull us out of difficult situations. God does not do this every time. If we are not rescued, God will comfort us through our difficulties. My notes say, “God is faithful, no matter what” and “God does unique things”.

I have to keep reminding myself to give my worries to God. I have to give everything to God, not just some things or most things. I have to trust God with everything in my life. I have to trust that God is going to be with my mom. God will comfort her and carry her through this stage in her life.

God holds our lives in his hands. God holds every breath in his hands. God owns all our ways.

the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways
–Daniel 5:23 (NKJV)

I have to trust in God. I have to trust God with the outcome.

Whatever you are going through, I pray that you will trust God with the outcome.
