I am so thankful that God is there for me each day. God is there for each of us, no matter what we are going through.
Tonight, I received an email that made my face go pale. I had made suggestions to this person to avoid the exact thing that happened today. Last month, she said everything was fine, and she did not need my suggestions. Now, she is blaming me for not listening to my suggestions.
Instead, of responding to her. I started praying and looking up bible verses for how God fights for us in the heavenly realms. I read the verses in the bible. I prayed for her. It can be hard to pray for someone that was not nice to you. God is changing me. You cannot go to God and leave unchanged.
God is bigger than anything on earth. God is with me. God will strengthen me. God will help me. God will hold me up with his righteous hand.
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
–Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
God goes with us to fight against our enemies. God will save us. There is nothing on earth that too big for God. God will protect those that know him. With God on our side, nobody can harm us.
for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
–Deuteronomy 20:4 (NKJV)
God is fighting for us in the heavenly places. Our battles are not against humans. There are spiritual forces of good and darkness in the heavenly places. God is fighting for us.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
–Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)
Once you follow Jesus, you will still face hardships. We cannot entangle ourselves with the affairs of this life. We need to look toward heaven, and give everything to God. We will find peace in doing what God wants us to do.
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
–2 Timothy 2:3-4 (NKJV)
When the world around you gets tough, look up to heaven to the one that loves us no matter what we do. Turn away from what you see and trust in God.
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
–Colossians 3:2 (NKJV)
I am so thankful that God is with me. I remember when I did not seek God. There are so many difficult feelings, when I don’t give it all to God. I am so thankful that God takes my burdens and worries and gives me love, peace and a sound mind.
I am so thankful for a wonderful God to praise in the storm.
