Matthew, Psalm, Trusting in God

Don’t Worry About Tomorrow

Good Afternoon. I wrote my last post during reading time. Now, it is recess, so I can write again for a few minutes. This morning we read the March 18 devotional from the book, Jesus Calling: 365 Devotions For Kids, By Sarah Young. It was perfect for today.

We are living in a very different time. We have had to drastically change how we live. People must be feeling all the emotions. Honestly, last night I was feeling anxious. I was picking out groceries to order online, when it said there were no time slots to schedule.   My mind started to worry. What if we run out of the stuff that we need? What if I didn’t get the right things?

This morning, we read the bible verse that says do not worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough worries. Isn’t that perfect for today? The kids and I prayed that we would have enough. We prayed for our neighbors and everyone in the world to feel the comfort of God.

Matthew6-34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
–Matthew 6:34 (NIV)

I was reminded of how manna fell from heaven to feed people in the Book of Exodus. God provides for us. In these unexpected, challenging times, we need to trust in God.

God will take care of every need.

Psalm84-12

O Lord of hosts,
Blessed is the man who trusts in You!
–Psalm 84:12 (NKJV)

Blessed are the men, women and children who trust in Lord of hosts!
