Good afternoon. We have been off school and quarantined for over a month. It is weird to think that we are busier now, than before. There is 3x as much cooking, dishes, laundry and cleaning. Then, I have to help with homeschooling/emergency schooling. I am not complaining. I actually really like all of it, except I could use more take-out food and less cooking with the random ingredients that we find in the store.
We are not rushing to go from place to place. Instead, I am trying to get my kids to focus, learn and do more, than what is asked of them. Most days, it is not an easy task. Yet, it is an important life lesson.
Our Pastor said that now is the time to read the bible as a family and pray more together. He is absolutely right.
We should be proudly speaking God’s words. We shouldn’t be diminishing the word of God, making it seem less valuable. We should be singing God’s praises, so more people will come to the Lord.
“Thus says the Lord: ‘Stand in the court of the Lord’s house, and speak to all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord’s house, all the words that I command you to speak to them. Do not diminish a word. Perhaps everyone will listen and turn from his evil way, that I may relent concerning the calamity which I purpose to bring on them because of the evil of their doings.’
–Jeremiah 26:2-3 (NKJV)
When the world tests you, sing God’s praises even louder. Perhaps some will really hear the words that God commands us to speak, and change.
