Steadfast Faith

God is always so faithful to us. Yet, sometimes I forget that God is my rock all of the time. God is our Redeemer. God loves us so much, that he let his son be sacrificed for us to be free.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
–Psalm 18:2 (NKJV)

Are our hearts steadfast with God? In times of trouble, do we pray? I am guilty of worry and anxiety. I have to stop and remind myself to trust in the only one that is eternal.

Sometimes I lie to myself. I think a situation is helpless. Or, I think that I can do it on my own. Both of these are wrong. With God, anything is possible. I just have to be utterly faithful in my heart.

God continually forgives us. Has your child ever tested you to the point where you say, do not do that one more time, and your child looks at you with defiance and bam does it again. I know that I do the same, and God turns his anger away and forgives me, yet another time.

Our God is eternal. I am just a breath in time that passes away.

Then they remembered that God was their rock,
And the Most High God their Redeemer.
Nevertheless they flattered Him with their mouth,
And they lied to Him with their tongue;
For their heart was not steadfast with Him,
Nor were they faithful in His covenant.
But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity,
And did not destroy them.
Yes, many a time He turned His anger away,
And did not stir up all His wrath;
For He remembered that they were but flesh,
A breath that passes away and does not come again.
–Psalm 78:35-39 (NKJV)

The world is an uncertain place.

The only thing that I can rely on is God.

God is faithful and eternal.

Some people trust in what they can see. They rely on the strength, that they think they can see. God is stronger and mightier. God’s strength is stronger than anything that we could see in this world.

The Folly of Not Trusting God
Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
And rely on horses,
Who trust in chariots because they are many,
And in horsemen because they are very strong,
But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel,
Nor seek the Lord!
–Isaiah 31:1 (NKJV)

We are only a breath in time. God is a rock. God is strong and lasts forever. Our faith should be steadfast in our eternal God.
