We are living in unusual times. Our church opened up yesterday. Of course, it is different. People had to sit at least 6 feet apart, and they had to wear masks, except for the singing. Kids under 10 are not allowed in the sanctuary, so we still have to watch services online. Church is a great way to praise God. I love learning more about scriptures, the history, the connections and messages. And, the singing is amazing.
Church it not the only way to worship. God’s light is everywhere, including inside of us. When we read the bible, God talks to us and gives us messages. When we listen to Christian music at home and in the car, it is like the Holy Spirit fills the atmosphere. They can close churches or limit capacity, but nobody can ever shut down God’s love for us. God’s light is everywhere. When we follow Jesus, we can walk in God’s beautiful, majestic light.
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
—John 8:12 (NKJV)
We can worship God all day long. We can read the bible, sing and pray. God’s love is vast. Their is no limit to God’s love for his children of every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. We should fear the awesome power of God and give all glory to God. We can worship the Almighty Father who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.
Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
—Revelation 14:6-7 (NKJV)
Don’t stand for this world, turn to God. The gospel must be preached to all nations. If you get arrested for your faith, don’t worry. Don’t plan your words. Trust in God. Surrender control and let God fill you with the Holy Spirit, giving you the words to say.
And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
—Mark 13:10-11 (NKJV)
Keep standing for God. Keep trusting in God. Pray for your family, friends and neighbors. One day, all believers from every nation, tribe, tongue, and people will be singing God’s praises together.
Sing Your Praises
