God's Character, Proverbs

God’s Love Never Runs Out

When I live my life trusting in Jesus, everything is different. I remember when I applied for a new job 15 years ago. I was so upset that I didn’t get it. Now, my attitude has totally changed. When something does not go planned, I think ‘God what do you want me to do?’ I thank God for protecting me from making a mistake, and I look forward to what God has planned for my future.

When Satan replays all my mistakes and sins in my mind like a movie reel, I start to feel bad and not worthy of God’s love. I am right. I am not worthy of God’s love, yet he loves me anyway. God loves you too. God loves all his children, even if they don’t know him yet. God let his son, Jesus, die to forgive our sins. God forgave me a long time ago and blotted out my sins. So, I have to focus on the place that God has me in right now. God can use our mistakes to refine us. God can take all those things, that we thought we totally messed up, and use them for his good work. Difficult times can help us clearly see the goodness of God. I am thankful for my difficult times, because God changed my heart. Although difficult at the time, I released control and put my trust in God. It was a gradual process, that becomes easier with practice. Now, I remember all the situations that God carried me through, and know that he will work out everything for my good.

Blows that hurt cleanse away evil,
As do stripes the inner depths of the heart.

—Proverbs 20:30 NKJV

When we try to do God’s will and praise God for his mercy on us, we find the beauty of this life. We find life. We find out why this life is so beautiful and needs to cherished. We find that God can stretch us and extend us, beyond what we thought was possible. God can bless us. When God is on our side, we don’t need anything else. Yet when God sends us friends and people to encourage and support us, it is such a refreshing blessing!

He who follows righteousness and mercy
Finds life, righteousness, and honor.

—Proverbs 21:21 NKJV

When we are faced with unexpected scorn, unfairness or evil, we can guard our mouths from speaking words that cannot be taken back. I used to get upset and cry and let the unfairness fester in my mind and torment me. Now, when I find myself doing this, I pray. God can take away all these feelings. God can give our hearts grace, so we don’t respond. Instead, we give it to God to deal with in the heavenly realms. Keep your soul at peace, walk away and give it to God to handle.

Whoever guards his mouth and tongue
Keeps his soul from troubles.

—Proverbs 21:23 NKJV

God has a plan for our lives. God can take any situation and turn it into a good work. God always loves us in a perfect way. God’s love for us never runs out, no matter what we do.

Sing Your Praises

I love this beautiful song, Promises, sung by Joel Barnes and Naomi Raine.

Song Lyrics

Faithful through the ages

God of Abraham

You’re the God of covenant and faithful promises

Time and time again

You have proven

You’ll do just what You said

Though the storms may come

And the winds may blow, I’ll remain steadfast

And let my heart learn when You speak a word

It will come to pass

Great is Your faithfulness to me

Great is Your faithfulness to me

From the rising sun to the setting same

I will praise Your name

Great is Your faithfulness to me, oh

Yeah, God from age to age

Though the earth may pass away

Your word remains the same, yeah

Your history can prove

There’s nothing You can’t do

You’re faithful and True

Though the storms may come

And the winds may blow, I’ll remain steadfast

And let my heart learn when You speak a word, it will come to pass

Great is Your faithfulness to me, woah

Great is Your faithfulness, from the rising sun

From the rising sun to the setting same

I will praise Your Name, oh

Great is Your faithfulness to me

Oh oh, Your faithfulness

It never runs out, it never runs out (yeah)

Oh oh, Your faithfulness, oh oh

It never runs out, it never runs out

It never runs out, it never runs out

I put my faith in Jesus

My anchor to the ground

My hope and firm foundation

He’ll never let me down, no

I put my faith in Jesus

My anchor to the ground (hope and firm foundation)

He’s my hope and firm foundation (He’ll never let me down)

He’ll never let me down

Oh I put, I put my trust in Jesus (yes I do)

My anchor to the ground (my hope and firm foundation)

My hope and firm foundation (he’ll never let me down)

He’ll never let me down (never let me down, I put my faith in Jesus)

I put my faith in Jesus (my anchor to the ground)

My anchor to the ground (He’s my hope)

My hope and firm foundation (my only hope, my only hope)

He’ll never let me down

He’ll never let me down (oh, oh, grateful)

Great is Your faithfulness to me (oh sing it out)

Great is Your faithfulness (from the rising sun)

From the rising sun to the setting same

I will praise Your name (in every season)

Great is your faithfulness to me (say I put my faith)

I put my faith in Jesus

My anchor to the ground (He’s my hope)

My hope and firm foundation (and He’s never let me down)

He’ll never let me down (I put my faith)

I put my faith in Jesus

My anchor, my anchor to the ground (He’s my hope)

My hope and firm foundation (never let me down)

He’ll never let me down (come on sing it out)

Say I put my faith I put my faith in Jesus

My anchor to the ground (my anchor to the ground)

My hope and, my hope and firm foundation (never let me down)

He’ll never let me down (never let me, I put my faith in Jesus)

I put my faith in Jesus (my anchor to the ground)

My anchor to the ground (He’s my hope and my firm foundation)

My hope and firm foundation (He’ll never let me down)

He’ll never let me down (no, no, He’ll never let me down)

He’ll never let me down (oh)

Great, great is Your faithfulness to me (great is…)

Great is Your faithfulness

From the rising sun (from the rising sun to the setting same)

(Hey) I will praise Your name (from the rising sun)

From the rising sun to the setting same (let’s go)

I will praise Your name (from the rising sun)

From the rising sun to the setting same (let it go up, and let it go down)

I will praise Your name (I still bless You, I’ll still praise You)

From the rising sun to the setting same (let it go up then let it go down)

I will praise Your name (and I’ll still bless You, Lord, I’ll still bless You)

From the rising sun to the setting same (let it go up then let it come down)

I will praise Your name (and I’ll still bless You, I’ll still bless You)

From the rising sun to the setting same (I’ll still bless You, I’ll still bless You)

I will praise Your name (I’ll still bless You, great is…)

Great is Your faithfulness to me (I’ll still bless You)

Great is Your faithfulness to me (I’ll still bless You, I’ll still bless you)

From the rising sun to the setting same (I’ll still bless You)

I will praise Your name (I’ll still bless You)

Great is Your faithfulness to me (I’ll still bless You)

Yes I’ll still bless You

In the middle of the storm (yeah)

In the middle of my trial (yeah)

I’ll still bless You

In the middle of the road

When I don’t know where to go

I’ll still bless You (yeah)

In the middle of my storm

In the middle of my trial

I’ll still bless You (yeah)

When I’m in the middle of the road

And I don’t know which way to go (I’ll still)

I’ll still bless You

I’ll still bless You, huh

I’ll still bless You, oh

I’ll still bless You

I’ve got a reason to bless You, yeah, huh

I’ve got a reason to bless You

I’ll still bless you (I’ve got a reason to bless Your name)

You’ve been faithful

You’ve been faithful (I’ll still bless You)

You’ve been so good to me

You’ve been so good (come on, just lift up your prayer)

(Just lift up your worship to Him)

You’ve been so good, You’ve been so good

Lift us now, this body, this feeling

We’re filled with Your praise

We bless Your name, oh

I’ll still bless You, oh

I’ll still bless You, oh

I’ll still bless You, oh

I’ll still bless You (great is Your faithfulness)

Great is Your faithfulness to me (c’mon)

Great is, great is Your faithfulness to me

From the rising sun, from the rising sun to the setting same

I will praise Your name (from the rising sun)

From the rising sun to the setting same (oh my God)

I will praise Your name (from the rising sun)

From the rising sun to the setting same

I will praise Your name (praise, yeah)
