Change, Choices, Choosing Faith Each Day, God's timing is always perfect, Mark, Trusting in God

God’s Words Are Everlasting

Things of this world are temporary. Here one day, gone the next day. Popularity can come and go, people favor you one day and move on the next day.

Seasons come and go. In the Spring, buds appear that burst into flowers. In the Summer, everything is green and new, like a fresh start. In the Fall the leaves change color and fall away to bare branches in the Winter. Then the snow comes making the branches look beautiful, like a winter wonderland.

Nature changes every season, as the trees grow bigger and wider with roots firmly planted in the ground. Life is like that too. Our seasons in life don’t let us stay in the same place. We have to change and grow to plant our roots firmly in Jesus to create a strong faith that can withhold the storms in life.

When we do go through storms in life, the rain can make us grow. We can pray and ask God what to do next, when we feel weak, God is strong.

Jesus is always near to us, and He will come back again. We have to use the changes in our lives as opportunities for growth and development. We should rely on God to help us. One day, heaven and earth will disappear. God’s words will last forever.

“Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that his return is very near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene before all these things take place. Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

—Mark 13:28-31 (NLT)
