Some people look at Christians like they are crazy. Once you really feel God’s grace in your heart, you seek it everyday. God wanted his followers to stand out and be different. God is not of this world, so those who love God will be different too. Its not always easy, but its worth it. God blots out hate from your enemies, so you just feel God’s peace. Some days you have to pray often. It can feel like a battle. If we are God’s side, we know God is going to win.
God says in the bible, you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake. We don’t need to worry about what to say. God will give us the right words at the right time. The Spirit of God will speak for us. I often pray that God will give me the right words to say at the right time. If you let go and trust in God to guide your words, he will.
You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
–Matthew 10:18-20 New King James Version (NKJV)
Christians will be hated. The bible says, “you will be hated by all for My name’s sake”. God can help you stand strong against the hate. Sometimes, God even protects your heart from hate. Its like an invisible iron man suit repelling the hate away from your heart, before you even recognize it. God says if you are persecuted, flee to another city. Don’t stay and let them harm you, leave. God says “you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes”. God wants us to endure and stay faithful. This applies to your life now too. It can be hard to move to another city, but if its God’s will, do it. God will take you to a better place.
“Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
–Matthew 10:21-23 New King James Version (NKJV)
God tells us not to fear anyone. God is greater than any human. God knows our hearts. There are people that act nice to you and try to destroy you, behind your back. God knows our intentions. God know our enemies’ intentions. God will protect us. “For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.” If there are people that hate you, it can hurt. God can heal that hurt and take it away, so you don’t feel it. You have to give your heart to God. Then, God will shield your heart.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household! Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
–Matthew 10:24-26 New King James Version (NKJV)
There is always room for God in this world. Once you experience the peace and love of God, you will feel whole. You will be loved. Protected Cherished. You will stand out. Don’t be afraid to stand out. Pray that you are serving God and doing God’s will. God will protect us from any harm. God is our almighty protector.
