Love and Praise, Psalm

Let Praise Renew Your Spirit

Yesterday and today, I have felt exhausted. Drained. I felt like I have not had the strength to move. What is wrong with me?

I have been tired. It was a busy month, and I feel tired emotionally and physically. This was a new thing. I felt like a sack of potatoes, dragging myself from place to place.

My daughter was sick yesterday, so we had to wake up every few hours to give her Tylenol and Motrin to keep her fever down. But, I was tired before yesterday.

I need to be renewed by the Holy Spirit. I need to be filled up and energized to take on daily life again. I always look at the happy, cheerful moms with awe. I wish that I was that energized.

May God’s glory endure forever. May the Lord rejoice in his works. I hope that the Lord looks down at me, my husband and kids and delights in what we try to do. Who we try to be. When we make good choices over bad choices. We are trying to do God’s will. We want to do God’s good work.

The Lord is so mighty, when he looks at the earth, the earth trembles. God’s gaze makes the earth tremble and shake from his majesty. A touch from God can make the hills smoke.

As long as I live, I will sing to the Lord. Whatever forces work against me, I can endure by singing the praises of the Lord. Dark forces can knock me down, but I will sing, and God will lift me up over and over again. While I am human, I will sing my praises to God. As long as God lets me stay on earth in my body, I will sing my praises to God.

I pray that my meditation and praises will by heard by God and sound sweet to him. I hope that the praises of the faithful drown out the sinners and the wicked disappear.

Bless the Lord, O my soul! Praise the Lord!

May the glory of the Lord endure forever;
May the Lord rejoice in His works.
He looks on the earth, and it trembles;
He touches the hills, and they smoke.
I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
May my meditation be sweet to Him;
I will be glad in the Lord.
May sinners be consumed from the earth,
And the wicked be no more.

Bless the Lord, O my soul!
Praise the Lord!
–Psalm 104:31-35 (NKJV)

I fully intended to talk about spiritual attacks and how to endure them, but today I would rather praise the almighty one. Praise God! Satan can do his best, but God can always do more. Today, I would rather spend my time glorifying  the greatness of God.

Our Lord is eternal. God has no beginning and no end. I give all my thanks to the Lord. Thank you, God, for all you have done for me and my family, and all that you continue to do for us, seen and unseen.

God, I call upon your great name. I praise you in times of gladness and cry out in times of sorrow. God, you are always there for me. God has done so many great things for me. God gave us our children. God gave us employment. God gave us a home. God lifted each of us up and brought us back to him. God does one wondrous thing after another for us. What has God done for you? Sing his praises loudly!

God, even your name is Holy. When I whisper your great name, power releases itself onto earth. The sound of your great name lets the hearts of those who seek you, rejoice. I can always seek the Lord’s strength. I will try to be worthy of the Lord’s name.

The Eternal Faithfulness of the Lord
Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
Talk of all His wondrous works!
Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
–Psalm 105:1-4 (NKJV)

Don’t give Satan so much credit. Satan can try to cause problems in your life, but God can turn around each one for our good and the good of God. Praise God! Let praise renew your spirit.
