Keep Hoping and Praying

Do you ever pray and wonder if God hears you? He does.

Some prayers take years to see the answer clearly. I remember praying in a bible study for my son, that he would get a teacher that saw his gifts and encouraged him to grow in them. That was seven years ago. Shortly after my prayer request, my mom died of cancer. COVID happened. I felt called to Homeschool my kids. It wasn’t always easy, but I did it, because I knew that God wanted me to do it. Every morning, I would pray that God would equip me. We homeschooled for three years. Then a new school opened up, and my kids were accepted into it. Currently, all his teachers see his gifts and encourage him to grow in them. To get to this point, I had to follow God, not knowing the destination. 

When we pray, God hears our prayers. It took three weeks for Daniel to get an answer. An angel tells Daniel that he is precious to God. The first day that Daniel started praying, his request was heard in heaven. For 21 days, the angel was blocked from answering Daniel, until an archangel came to help. The angel explains to Daniel the answer to his prayers.

I have been waiting in hope and praying for a new job. With every resume sent, I hope this will be the job. We don’t have control over it. God does. God’s answer may be something else entirely, we just have to follow where God is nudging us to go. And, we have to do our part. 

Even though you are waiting for an answered prayer, this time period of waiting, may be building you up and setting things in place to get ready for that answer. When God comes through, He comes all the way through. God is a detailed God, and every detail will be set into place, even ones you never considered. 

Keep up the hope. and keep praying.

Just then a hand touched me and lifted me, still trembling, to my hands and knees. And the man said to me, “Daniel, you are very precious to God, so listen carefully to what I have to say to you. Stand up, for I have been sent to you.” When he said this to me, I stood up, still trembling.

Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. Now I am here to explain what will happen to your people in the future, for this vision concerns a time yet to come.”
