There is an enormous universe out there. It is so easy to just see what is in front of me. My current situation and life are all that I see every morning when I wake up. When I read the bible I am always reminded about how big our God is. God created the universe, the stars at night and the sunshine during the day. Yet I am hung up on what is not going my way at the moment.
I read a part of Daniel this afternoon. In the middle of the end times, there are these encouraging words that sparkle off the page. “Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.” Daniel 12: 3
These words make me want to stop focusing on the chaotic world we live in and turn to God to soak in God’s peace and quiet and ask, God what do you want me to do? The answer is not what I can see yet, but God will reveal it when the time is right.
The Time of the End
“At that time Michael, the archangel who stands guard over your nation, will arise. Then there will be a time of anguish greater than any since nations first came into existence. But at that time every one of your people whose name is written in the book will be rescued. Many of those whose bodies lie dead and buried will rise up, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting disgrace. Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever. But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.”

God can deal with al the world chaos and handle it, according to His will. Instead, focus on pleasing the Holy Spirit, which will bring everlasting life. Don’t get tired of doing good. At just the right time, we will reap a harvest of blessings. Don’t give up!
Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
