Have you ever prayed to God to answer your prayer? It is easy to forget all the answered prayers and focus on the prayers not answered yet.
I could list all the answered prayers from little things to big, life changing things. How often do I do that? Not as often as I should! It helps me to thank God for my family, house and health every day. None of these things are guaranteed.
When you pray, God is at work in your life in so many ways. You don’t even know everything that God is doing for you. We just see a few things that give us hope and faith to continuing believing in Jesus.
This afternoon I read John 20 in the Bible. The disciples saw Jesus perform many miracles that aren’t recorded in the Bible. The miracles that are recorded in the Bible are there so that you will continue to believe in Jesus and have salvation.
Jesus is always working in our lives. God hears our prayers. This is a reminder to me not to look at my current circumstances. Instead, remember all the miracles that God has done in my life. Why would God fail me now? Keep the faith, and continue to believe in the future God has planned for us. Don’t lose hope, there are brighter days ahead.
Purpose of the Book
The disciples saw Jesus do many other miraculous signs in addition to the ones recorded in this book. But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.
